Puss in Boots runs at the Pavilion Theatre from Thursday 3 December to Sunday 3 January, 55 performances, tickets from £14.75 plus a £1.75 fee. Five dark days.
Worthing’s pantomime this year is Puss in Boots at the Pavilion Theatre, running from Thursday 3 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027. There are 55 performances across 27 days, and tickets start at £14.75 plus a £1.75 transaction fee.
Everything on this page is taken from the Worthing Theatres and Museum listing, which is the box office for the show. (Worthing Theatres and Museum, Puss In Boots)
WTM runs one pantomime only, and this is it. There is no second panto at the Connaught or the Assembly Hall this year.
The dates that are not on sale
Five days inside the run have no performance at all, and two of them are not the ones you would guess:
- Monday 7 December
- Monday 14 December
- Friday 18 December
- Friday 25 December
- Friday 1 January
Friday 18 December being dark is unusual, because the Saturday either side of it carries three shows. If you are booking around a school term, that is the trap.
How the week works
Performance times follow a pattern rather than a timetable you need to memorise:
- Weekday evenings are 6.30pm.
- Weekday matinees are either 10.30am, which is the schools slot, or 2pm.
- Saturdays are 2pm and 6.30pm, with a 10.30am added on 19 December.
- Sundays are 12pm and 4.30pm.
- Christmas Eve has three, at 10.30am, 2pm and 6.30pm.
- Boxing Day has two, at 2pm and 6.30pm.
The show runs 120 minutes and WTM rates it suitable for all ages.
Accessible and relaxed performances
WTM has flagged five performances specifically:
| Date | Time | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Wed 9 December | 10.30am | Relaxed, schools |
| Thu 10 December | 2pm | Dementia friendly |
| Tue 15 December | 6.30pm | Captioned and BSL |
| Tue 29 December | 2pm | Relaxed |
| Sun 3 January | 12pm | Audio described |
There is one captioned and BSL performance in the whole run, and one audio described one, and the audio described show is the final matinee of the season. If either is what you need, book early rather than late.
What tickets actually cost
The headline price is “from £14.75”, and a £1.75 transaction fee is added to the booking. The discounts WTM lists are:
- Under 16s: £4 off.
- WTM members: 10% off.
- Groups of 8 or more: 10% off, on Band A and Band B seats.
- Schools: £15, or £16.75 including the transaction fee, on Premium Band A and Band B.
- Youth and PTA groups: £18.50, or £20.25 including the fee, and not available at weekends.
The early bird offer of £1 off has gone. It closed at 23:59 on 7 August 2026.
Who is in it
WTM has named one cast member so far: James Jordan, listed as playing Rumpelstiltskin. The rest of the cast has not been published. The theatre describes the show as a brand new pantomime with a Dame, a villain and “swashbuckling heroics”, and says it follows Cinderella, which it calls “last-year’s best-selling panto yet”.
The production is part of the Pavilion Theatre’s 100th anniversary celebrations. The headline sponsor is Worthing solicitors Bennett Griffin.
One thing to watch: the theatre’s own building works
The Pavilion Theatre has a £221,418 window and glazing contract with Pilbeam Construction, approved by Adur & Worthing Councils on 20 August 2026 and effective from 28 August. The planning application and listed building consent for it, AWDM/0836/26 and AWDM/0955/26, were still undecided when the contract was awarded, with a determination deadline of 12 October 2026. We set the whole thing out on our Pavilion Theatre window contract page.
Nothing published so far suggests the work clashes with the pantomime run, and WTM is selling tickets for every date. It is worth a second look in October, once the planning decisions land.
Getting there and parking
The Pavilion Theatre is on Marine Parade on the seafront, next to the pier. WTM’s box office address is the Connaught Theatre, Union Place, BN11 1LG, and the box office number is 01903 206206.
For evening shows the multi-storey charging matters. Buckingham Road, High Street and Civic Quarter charge until 10pm Monday to Saturday, at £13.40 for anything over five hours, then Buckingham Road and High Street are free from 10pm to 6am. On a Sunday all three drop to £6.20 for the whole day. Grafton multi-storey, the closest to the seafront, is closed permanently. Our parking in Worthing page has every tariff, and our roadworks and travel page carries anything affecting the seafront route.
